Club Project

I've not made one card this week!! Think my mojo's gone awol, all i've wanted to do is chill out and watch tv, not like me at all. So now i'm playing catch up with everything including housework....groan...anyway i thought i'd show you what we made at my craft club on Monday night, a little bag thats easy to make just from a sheet of A4 card, the template is on Splitcoasters and a mini card to match. The image is from High Hopes, used my SU scallop circle punch and sentiments are a download from Funky Fairy Papercrafts.

Thank you for the awards i've been given this week, i will add them later today :) I'm still having problems getting to some of the links, i'm sorry Helen, cant get to your blog at all :( Even when i google the blogs they wont load so dont think it's a fault with blogger.... sigh.... very frustrating !!

Enjoy your weekend everyone xx

A Fabulous weekend !!

Well here are my photos from the weekend at Pendle Hill, i know looking at other peoples holiday snapshots can be dull so bear with me on this, lol. The outdoor centre is nestled in the heart of Pendle, absolutely stunning countryside, i cant believe it's on my doorstep and i've never been before but i'll definately be going back! I wont bore you with all the details of what i did but i had a great time on Saturday cardmaking with the other ladies, some examples of what they made below. Saturday night we had our own mini bonfire and later watched Love Actually, one of my Favourite films !! It was so nice to meet everyone, alot into crafts or alternative therapies, even had my Tarot cards read, very interesting and sooooo acurate !! I enjoyed a lovely walk on Sunday morning with my friend Judy into the village beneath Pendle Hill, we never got there Friday night, did'nt want to worry Deb's who'd organised the event, it gets a bit manic on Halloween. So all in all i LOVED it, great company, beautiful surroundings and gorgeous homemade cooking, how could i forget that!! Endless homemade cakes and biscuits, yum, yum. So back to reality... Boooooooo !! But i'll be definately going on the trip next year...yay. Thanks for looking xxWhitehough Outdoor Education Centre at Barley

My Sunday morning walk to Pendle Hill

Me and my treasured friend Judy
A farewell drumming session

Our diddy bonfire !!

I'm late.....

Hi folks, i'm back safe and sound, no witches to be seen, lol, but been so busy i've not had chance to spend time on updating my blog. I will be back later today with a post on my trip which was FANTASTIC and have a few pic's to share !!xx

A card for my Matey

I'm posting this early, Tara wont recieve this till tomorrow but i've told her no peeking, as i'm away first thing in the morning..... YAY !! I'm so excited, lol.

I've made some lovely friends through Blogging and the DC forum and have recieved beautiful cards as well as fabby goodies and Tara's an absolute treasure, completely on my wavelength and has me in stitches, been caught so many times laughing at the computer screen, bemused looks from O/H but i dont care. So every so often we send a card and little bits and bobs and this is my latest to her to say thank you for all the smiles she's given me lately, life can be tough going at times and we all need good friends to lift our spirits ..... Thank you Tara.

I made this using another adorable Hanglar image.....C'mon Funkykits where are they? Paper is Doodlebug, the black decorative circle was sent to me by another lovely lady on the Docrafts forum, Doreen (Blackfeather) a complete surprise parcel full of lovely shapes she had cut on her Craft Robo, lots of Ooooooo's and Ahhhhhh's when i opened it, so thank you again Doreen. Prima flowers, Woodware Heart brads, Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch for the scalloped paper across the card, Pink Pearly Doodles, which went a bit wrong in places, not sure where i got the butterfly from and sentiment from a Hero Arts set... think thats it?

When i make cards, mostly i think 'Thats ok' but the odd time i make one that i actually like and this is one of them, hope you like it Tara.

So that's me till Sunday when i'm back from my break, hope you all have a nice weekend and look forward to catching up with you all later.. Byeeeeeeee xx

P.s I'm having trouble getting some of my blog list links to work so until i sort it out i'm hitching via the links that do work, so hoping to have it back to normal soon, so frustrating when you want to keep up to date with all the lovely blogs xx

A welcome break

It's been a long while since i've had a proper break of any kind so i'm really excited as i've been asked if i'd like to join a group of ladies who are spending this weekend at an outdoor centre not far from me. Of course i said yes !! Its not far from Pendle Hill, some of you may know the story of the Pendle witch trials, you can see more info here and a YouTube link here. I loved the Most Haunted show that they filmed there and i know there's a walk planned up the hill..... Oooooooo scary, lol.
It'll be so nice to escape the routine of looking after everyone else and have a bit of me time for a change, we all need that i think from time to time. Lots of other lovely activities planned like a Beading workshop,Reflexology,Aromatherapy,Silk painting, indoor rock climbing, caving and Life coaching, yes i need that, and i've been asked to take some of my Craft stash incase anyone would like a go !!

Apparently the village is closed off this weekend as so many people try to walk the hill at Halloween in search of the Witches, mental thats what i say!! I'd run a mile, lol.

Will post another card tomorrow, then that'll be me till Sunday......tee hee, hoping to take some piccies to share with you when i return, Oooooooo thats if i return, lol xx ps judging by the first pic i'm guessing there will be some strange characters around, lol.

My 5 minutes of fame !

Hi Folks, they say everyone has there 5 minutes of fame, well i think this is the nearest i'll get to it, lol. I was contacted by Docrafts a while ago and asked if i'd like to feature in their magazine, Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm let me think about that..... of course!! So i got a copy yesterday and here i am !! They sent me some lovely Doodlebug goodies to use, found using stickers instead of stamping very different but i was happy with the overall result.xx

Blog Candy !!

The ladies at Funky Fairy Papercrafts are offering this lovely blog candy, all you have to do is name 3 members of their design team to be in with a chance of winning !!

Ok..... I'm not sure about this one !

Hi Folks, i need your honest opinion about this one please. I bought a set of these Sexy Santa's Helpers the other day, when i first saw them i thought' Ooooooooo they're different' well now i'm not so sure i like them. Plus the card it self i'm not struck with, white doodling is PANTS and the oversize bow is'nt doing it for me either, lol. And i couldn't print out the paper i really wanted to use cos my blummin printer is out of ink AGAIN!!! It dosnt last 5 minutes for me.... tips anyone? So what do you think? Do you think a Man is more likely to buy for a Girlfriend/ Wife than the other way round, i make my cards to sell you see so it's an important factor. Thanks for taking the time to look. Oh and what you done with the weather today? It's RUBBISH, raining and blowing a gale here in Yorkshire.... Ta ta xx

Thank you Gina, Caroline and Erin

Thank you so much Gina and Erin and Caroline for giving this award to me, thats so lovely of you, if you hav'nt visited their blogs yet, all are new bloggers, then please do.... gorgeous cards ! Will pop back later to pass this on, found some amazing blogs!!

High Hopes Challenge #4 and Funky Fairy Challenge#38

Hi everyone, this is my entry for the High Hopes and Funky Fairy challenge. The challenge for both is to make something other than a card so i thought i'd have a go at making an ATC for a change. I really enjoyed it, although it's quite hard working on such a small space. Not sure if it looks balanced as the image, which i LOVE, is small compared to the sentiment but i'm pleased how it turned out.

I used Pinkpetticoat paper from the new Christmas collection 'Tis the season', the cute little kitty is from www.highhopesstamps.com, the fab round sentiment is a download from www.funkyfairyspapercrafts.com, used my SU round scallop punch and tied a little jingle bell onto the prima flower .

A big thank you to the girls at Funky Fairy's too, i won last weeks challenge !! Yay, i'm chuffed to bits, my first challenge win :D XX

A little cutie

Hi everyone, hope the sun's shining where you are? Managed to get a card made last night, love these and cant wait for the UK release. Coloured with Promarkers, paper from www.sweetshoppedesigns.com, Flora Doodle flower, and heart charm from www.thestampman. Enjoy your day xx

No connection but well worth a look xx

Halloween printable goodie bag

Tis the season...........

I love Pinkpetticoats new Christmas collection !!! Had a quick play today, can tell it's Friday i'm soooooo tired and struggling with my mojo, just cant help myself when i get something new though. So it's a very simple card which at a time like Christmas when you've so many to do is probabely best anyway. Hope you all have a nice weekend xx

I used my new Callie Christmas Kitty stamp, available from www.sillymonkeycrafts.co.uk, paper is from a new K&co mat pad Peppermint Twist, computer generated sentiment, natural grosgrain ribbon. Coloured with my Prismas, Stickles and Glossy Accents.xx

High Hopes Christmas Fairy

This little Fairy landed on my doorstep yesterday and i could'nt wait to make up a card with her !! She's one of the new designs available from Silly Monkey Crafts. I coloured her using Prismas, highlighted her wings with stickles and Glossed the ivy.I made this for two reasons, one for the new High Hopes Blog Challenge although i totally missed out the brief, lol, just like me !!! and the other reason will become evident later.......tee hee. She's one of two stamps that arrived so watch this space............ xx

Hey where's my post gone ?

Ok my last post has disappeared into cyber space !! So here i go again .....

I was tagged last week by Kathleen, you have to list 7 facts about yourself so here goes....

1.My christened name is Katherine but only my Nan who passed away years ago has ever called by that name.

2. I have mild OCD, which cause some amusement in the house at times. I have to always check the cooker is off before i go to bed, stand there twizzling the knobs for the hob, up and down a few times !! I also have to double check i've turned the GHD's off before i leave in a morning and can be literally heading out the door then run back upstairs !!! It seems to be worse when i'm stressed or very tired but i'm thankful i dont have it that bad compared to some poor people, it really can rule your life and be quite limiting.

3. I'm VERY ticklish !!

4.My favourite time of year is now when all the leaves are changing and the weather is cooler but not cold

5.In my teens i used to compete every week at disco dancing competitions all over the country, the whole sequin lycra thing, loved it till i was 16 and i discovered boy's were more interesting............for a while anyway.

6.My first job when i left school was at a Hairdresser's, went on to qualify but after i had my son never went back to it.

7.I have a scar next to my left eye where my Dad dropped me when i was a baby !!

Ok now i'm supposed to pass this on so i'm going to have a scout round, it could be youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu xx

A Little Something.......

For my Matey Tara she's always spoiling me!!! I really enjoyed making this wallet, The image is a High Hopes stamp, Tara kindly cut me some Nesties, the paper is BasicGrey and the cord and little bell from a Haberdashery oh and i used my Martha Stewart punch on this too xx

Halloween Dottie

Hi everyone, feeling a bit poorly today, sore throat and headache. Always seems to happen when the seasons change dont know why. So this card was a quickie, dont feel up to much cardmaking today. The image is a Halloween download available from Charmed cards and Crafts, its great because it comes coloured or not coloured so as i'm not feeling well i opted for the coloured, bit of a cheat !! The papers are a download too from Sweet Shoppe Designs, if you havnt checked their site it's a must!!! Hope you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy some sunshine xx

Awwwwwwww!!!!

A little update on the kitties, managed to take this photo yesterday of this little sweetie!! All 5 are doing well and now can sit up but very wobbley.I think i'm going to find it very hard to part with any of them :( xx
