A little encouragement......

Well yesterday i had a lovely time at a friends house, we were supposed to be crafting but spent most of the time gassing ...like you do :) Any hoo she was showing me her cards which i think are fabulous and her spare room is fit to burst with craft stash so i'm trying to persuade her to start her own blog...but she's not convinced ? So i offered to pop them on my blog to show all you lovely people so she can have a little feedback if thats ok ? ...P.s dont mention how addictive blogging is or how long you spend hopping around blogger, lol. Colour Create Challenge # 4..Pink and Grey

Morning everyone, it's colour create challenge time and this week the colour combo is Pink and Grey with the optional extra of 'Cute and Cuddly'

So with that in mind i chose the cute and cuddly 'Cotton Rabbits' from Funkykits, Pinkpetticoat paper from T'is the Season download, my MS punch, Sentiment on the rabbits jumper is from a Doodlebug clear stamp set and Doodlebug ribbon to finish with a heart button.

Check out the rest of the DT's inspirational cards over at Colour Create and congratulations to Mina, welcome to the the team :)

Thought i'd squeeze in this little atc i made the other day..the materials are pretty much the same as above, i cut the tiny flowers from a Doodlebug ribbon and attached to some SU linen thread...
Have a lovely day everyone...byeeee xx

It's Willow Sketchie time.....

Another fab sketchie today, this time it's Heidi turn to kick start your mojo with this sketch which you can flip/rotate to suit and with the added extras of Stitching and Buttons I had the funky 'B Cool' stamp set to play with available at Willow Designs perfect for teen projects ! The papers were a download i found on my travels a while ago, sadly i cant remember where, if you recognise them let me know :)I'm not brave enough to add real stitches so cheated and created them with my pricking tool and fineliner and if you look carefully i've added teeny weeny heart buttons to the stars, finally i added a little decoration to the inside of the card using some leftover paper and the funky star stamps.Hope you'll join us this week and check out the fabulous creations by the design team here...lots to get your creative juices going......

Exciting news today !

Well firstly the lovely Clare Curd has asked me to be a part of her DT for the fabulous 'Clare Curd's Signature Range ', something Clare has worked so hard on over the past months and it shows, the sneaky peeks look brill ! Thank you Clare :) Cant wait to get started, for more info hop over and take a look :)

Secondly something very close to my heart. I recieved a letter from the Anthony Nolan trust to say i'm a partial match for a patient in need of a transplant ! The prospect of being able to help someone is so exciting...fingers crossed :) I registered with the trust back in 2002 when we held an event to generate more donors for the register, my Aunties daughter Rebecca at the time was in need of a Bone Marrow donor and has since had a successful transplant and is doing so well....Love you Bec's if you read this :) So you can imagine how important this is to me..will keep you posted !

Byeeee x

Edited......thanks for the lovely comments, there will be more tests to follow the initial match, i dont want to mislead anyone but here's hoping :)xx

Pink Elephant Challenge # 2 Glitter

Oh i LOVE this stamp and thought it would be perfect (Glittered wings) for the Pink Elephant challenge which this week is glitter. A very simple card i think, seem to be leaning towards simplicity more and more these days, just one paper, Pinkpetticoat, resized and printed from the Boudoir cd, Bazzail scalloped strip, red satin ribbon and glittered flower and brad are Doodlebug...and voila there it is...kind of like that it's just the stamp and nothing much else going on.

Right off to catch up with everyone now...see what you been up to...byeeee x

Milly in the rain

Here's Milly in the rain..another sweet stamp available from Pink Gem Designs. I thought i'd give Milly a little dimension by decoupaging her brolly and coat..adds a bit of oomph to an image i think :)Also had a go at drawing in the pavement...Mmmmm not sure...

Used K&co,margo blue applique roses glitter paper and a coordinating plaid check and Prima Hydrangea flowers with Doodlebug glitter brads to continue the sparkley look. Sentiment and scalloped circle are both SU.

Janets also offering some yummy candy...one lucky person has the chance to win 4...yes 4 stamps over at Pink Gem Designs..you gotta be in it to win it so what you waiting for...hop over here

Not another !!?

Is that a groan i hear, lol ? Yep yet another card with the adorable Lily and Billy...sorry but i LOVE these stamps...can you tell? lol. This one is for my nearest and dearest so hope he likes it....bit girly i suppose but it is going to be sat on the mantlepiece so had to make it pretty, well thats my excuse :)

So i used 'Lily and Billy' AGAIN, papers are Pinkpetticoat 'Old fashioned girl', hearts are from the clear stamp set 'LOVE' by Doodlebug. Image coloured with Promarkers and i used a Sakura glitter pen on Lily's dress..haven't used these pens for AGES, forgot how lovely they are.

Well hope you're all keeping warm, it's been trying to snow again here in Yorkshire...it's so COLD ! Roll on Spring thats what i say, one of my favourite times of year and the days to get longer...yay, i for one cant wait...Byeee xx

Back to the beginning...

Just having a quick break from clearing out my craft cupboard...cant believe how much stuff i have collected over the last 12 months and so much of it i wont use...ie PEEL OFFS...ewwww,lol. Anyway i thought i would share a photo of what started me on this journey into cardmaking...oh must have been July 07. A good friend decided to take me along to a silk painting workshop,at that time i'd been under alot of stress and i was amazed at how relaxing it was to just sit and paint....bit of a turning point you could say...
Now i'm being really brave and sharing one of last years Valentines cards i made, it was in a box gathering dust with a pile of other various cards that i think now i'll give to the Cats Protection League to sell...well they might get something even if it's only 20p,lol.

And finally...a photo of Chesters kittens that she had 3 weeks ago, 6 little ones.... This is her second litter but also her last :( so i'm making the most of them whilst they are here.

Ok, better get back to clearing that cupboard out :) xx

Colour Create Challenge # 2. Peach and Aqua

Time for Colour Create Challenge 2 which this week is Peach and Aqua and the added extra of adding flowers made by yourself, either punched, doodled, stamped etc....

for my card, another less is more design, lol, i used a Hanglar image which i coloured with distress inks, H2o's and Promarkers, a Basic Grey rub on became the main feature...wanted to add pp but it did'nt look right to me so went with simplicity, punched little flowers with a Fiskars punch and added BG brads to them.

Hope you'll join us for this weeks challenge...have a lovely day and keep warm...more snow on it's way tonight :) xx

More Lily and Billy

This is a card i made for Kirsten, my blog candy winner, and an ATC made for a P.I.F swap over on the Docrafts forum which had to have the word LOVE included on it somewhere.

For the card i used one of the stamps from the Lily and Billy sweetheart collection, Making memories paper, Craft creations felt flower and ribbon from stash. There's not much going on design wise with this card, very simple really but i was happy with how it turned out.

The ATC, again Billy from the sweetheart collection, Doodlebug sentiment from the clear LOVE collection, Bazzail scalloped border strip, gingham paper and little gems to add a bit of bling.

My apologies to everyone who has been so kind to give me awards, i will get round to posting them , dont want you to think i'm ungrateful, and i've also been tagged a couple of times...hopefully i will catch up with this over the weekend and get up to date with your blogs.

Enjoy your weekend and keep warm...byeeee xx
