to have the awful cold thats been doing the rounds, been feeling so off colour today i havn't felt like doing anything but have a card to make for my Mum, it's her birthday tomorrow..Happy Birthday Mum...so should have a card to share later :)

Bubble Cat

Here's another cutie from Pink Gem Designs, 'Bubble Cat' !!




I used a black card Blank, BasicGrey Ambrosia paper,Bazzill 'just the edge' strips, Doodlebug sugar coated chipboard embellishments (Blingy hearts) and black ribbon to finish. I was umming and ahhing over whether to add a sentiment for ages but decided to go without in the end.

Well i've got that Friday feeling again....so tired, really should try for an early night but might just stay awake for Jonathan Ross's show which is back on air tonight...he is a bit naughty...

Leanne Ellis...Choose

I do love Leanne's style of artwork,available here, had this for a little while now but it's the first time i've used it for a card, it's a perfect size for ATC's. It's a fairly simple card, but i think the image is so striking it dos'nt need much else really.

I used a black card blank, papers are Pink Petticoat and Basic Grey 'Eva' and coloured the image with Promarkers and stickles.Used my Martha Stewart Doily lace punch....again, lol. The brads are (well they're technically not brads but made from paper/card) from Craftworkcards, Raspberry Ripple.A great alternative to Brads i think and come in yummy colours.

Friday Sketchers Challenge #35

Here's my entry to this weeks challenge over at Friday Sketchers. I've used the adorable Jack and Teddy stamp designed by Janet Roberts at Pink Gem Designs, papers are from a Funky Hand cd, coredinations cardstock, buttons from stash, sentiments are Hero Arts and the 'Little Man sentiment is a sticker i've had for sooo long i cant remember who its by or where its from, lol.

Coraline

On my blog hopping travels the other day i came across a post about this film Coraline, as Terry Pratchett describes 'It has the delicate horror of the finest fairy tale', it's due out next month. Now i'm a big kid at heart and love watching childrens movies, Lemony Snicket and the series of unfortunate events is one of my favourites, so i thought i'd share this clip with you. I'm now armed with the book, i love to read books before they come out on film so you can compare how you saw it in your mind. The previews look fab and the work thats gone into it is staggering ! dont think i'll ever look at buttons in the same way again, lol... I've also added a link to my sidebar...it's great fun.

A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge#34

Well finally got around to making something !! It's been one of those weeks for me, mojo up and left me, too many late nights...7 nights of Most Haunted Live to blame for that one and just generally feeling pants !!

Anyhoooo i thought i'd try my hand at this weeks challenge over at A Spoonfull of Sugar where the challenge is to PAPER PIERCE, is it paper pierce or paper piece ? i'm never quite sure.

I'm having a overhaul of my stamp collection at the mo, out with the old in with the new, apart from the favourites and this is one of them !!

I used this delightful Alota stamp, BasicGrey paper is Archaic, Martha Stewart punch, Fiskars flower punch, Hero Arts sentiment, Prismacolor pencils to colour, stickles to add a bit of sparkle and a touch of glossy accents.

Right off to clear up the horrendous mess i've made in the process of making this card...if only you could see !!!

Oh and again a little update on my candy...well i'm having a ponder as to what to do, you see the stamp i wanted to offer wont be available till the beginning of Feb...do i wait till then or go for something completely different ? I havnt forgotten just cant decide :(

A Happy Hello.

Happy hello everyone, just a quick post today, i'm about to settle down and watch Most Haunted...love the live shows !!

This is a card i made during the christmas hols and forgot to upload.

The image is from a Doodlebug clear stamp set called Friends, which i decoupaged and coloured with Promarkers, i cant remember what paper it is !! could it be BasicGrey ? Maybe not...i dont know,lol. Sentiment is Hero Arts MS punch and ribbon from stash.. I like the sunny nature of this card and it was a welcome break from all the Christmas cards i'd had to do last minute !!

All in a muddle !!

Yep, can tell it's Friday, my brain has gone into meltdown ! See on my blog hopping travels i came across this FREE image on Nikki's blog available at Pink Cat Studio's blog. Now i thought you had to use it for the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge, which Nikki has given a nice and easy sketch for this week, but on reading it again you have to enter the Pink Cat Studio contest if you want the freebie...are you still with me ? or have i got you in a muddle too ? LOL.

Oh well i can enter both challenges now...

So for this card i used 'Lily the fairy'(free image), Pinkpetticoat paper from the Boudior cd, sentiment from Pinkpetticoat Cupcake cd, ribbon and flowers from my stash and coloured with Promarkers.

I LOVE digi stamps !!

Hurray for Digi stamps...Love them, do you ? I was so happy to see the new releases over at The Greetings Farm, formally Pink Poison. Dont get me wrong i still love rubber stamps but digi stamps are just as versatile, great to resize and as i've discovered Promarkers dont bleed the printers ink...yay. I'm having issues with Versafine and my pens at the mo so if you can recommend an alternative ink to stamp with that dos'nt bleed when you colour with Promarkers that would be great.

So this digi stamp is Dorothy...sooooo cute !! Coloured with my Promarkers and a tiny bit of stickles to make her shoes sparkle. Paper is PinkPetticoat 'Tis the season' download and i used my good old Martha Stewart doily lace edge punch AGAIN, lol, i really need more border punches !

I think because the image and paper are so bold i did'nt feel the card could take too much detail so just added a few accents to the pattern of the paper with pearls and gems for a bit of bling.

There are more digi designs in the pipeline , if you go here you see whats in store !!

Sore Head ?

Ha Ha...not me, i was a good girl last night only had a little tipple but feeling somewhat jaded from a late night....well you have to stay up to watch Jools Holland Hootanany, brilliant as always !!

So this is my first card of 2009, another adorable creation by Janet Roberts over at Pink Gem Designs, Knitting Cow. This has to be one of my favourites....so cute !!

I coloured with prismas and H2O's to deepen shading a little, paper is a download from Funky Fairy's which i resized to make the check smaller, Fiskars border punch,adhesive lace, ribbon from stash and added a computer generated sentiment.

We are all so busy over the holidays with preparations and looking after everyone so i hope you all get the chance to put your feet up and have a rest now...or maybe a card or two ?

Hi everyone, good to be back, hope you've all had a lovely Christmas ? Ours was quiet, watched so much tv my eyes are square, but i feel rested and ready to get back to business !

Firstly i'd like to congratulate Bev and Gill who are joining the DT for Pink Gem Designs, both make beautiful cards ! Well done girls.

So this afternoon, despite having a mountain of washing and ironing to do...well that can wait, i couldnt resist my stash any longer. I dug deep into my paper collection and found a K&co pad i've had for sometime, i really need to use up what i already have to make way for new goodies. I have a terrible addiction to pretty papers !

So the Paper is K&co classic K Mckenna, Image...Magnolia, Prima Hydrangea flowers, Doodlebug sentiment from the clear friends set, BG brads, Martha Stewart punch, coloured with Promarkers and pencils.

The inside i used the same papers,Fiskars border punch, SU scalloped punch and SU round sentiment stamp , finished with Anna Griffin ribbon.

I'll soon be offering my Blog Candy,just waiting for one thing in particular, but it'll be worth the wait i promise you !!

Are you all ready for tomorrow ? I've so much to do today, food shop, house to clean, presents to wrap, i've never been so disorganised but trying not to stress about it too much.

Oh i nearly forgot to share my news, lol, i'm so excited, i have my first paid magazine commission to do over Christmas !! It's for the Docrafts Creativity magazine, a follow up from my appearance on the 'Talent spotting online ' article, so big thanks to Clare for approaching me ! Have lots to keep me busy over the holidays.

You know i'm sure someone messes with the clocks in our house, i sat down to make a start on my personal Christmas cards tonight, yes thats right just over a week to go and not one card to send, and before you know it it's nearly time for bed !! I swear next year i'm gonna start them in July ,lol.

So here's one of five i managed, not bad going for me really. Another lovely Housemouse image...thanks again Tara (hope you're feeling a bit better love) used the gorgeous BasicGrey 'Wassail' papers, i've so loved this collection !! BasicGrey buttons, Martha Stewart punch, SU scalloped round punch, Sentiment Funky Fairy's, ribbon from stash, coloured with Promarkers...hurray for Promarkers, so quick !!! Stickles and Glossy Accents too.

So how you all getting on with preparations for Christmas ? I managed to put my tree up yesterday, thought it might help me to get in the festive spirit.... just feel like i'm running around like a headless chicken at the moment...too much to do and not enough hours in the day !!...sigh..oh well all will be back to normal in a couple of weeks...can you tell i'm a bit 'Bah humbug ' I'm not usually...honest.

Had another go at an ATC with one of my new SugarNellie stamps from Funkykits...this time 'Choose' by the new designer Leanne Ellis. I coloured with Promarkers, gave it some dimension by decoupaging the flowers, added glossy accents to the hearts, tiny beads to decorate.

Wish and Sweetpea !!

Hi folks, well i'm very slowly getting there with my Christmas cards but i actually had to go out and buy some yesterday !! Shock horror, i dont think i've bought a card for about 12 months but there's just no way i'm going to have the time or the will to do it this year. I really hated parting with my money for shop bought but hey a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do !!

Any way here's a card i managed the other day using a cute download from All that Scraps...Sweetpea Winter,,,could'nt resist and he was only $3.50. Papers are Pinkpetticoat, K&co Naked tag, Ribbon from The Stampman, i've loved this stripey ribbon for Chrimbo cards !! Coloured with Promarkers

The next is one of the new designs from Sugar Nellie by Leanne Ellis....I love the arty style of this and i still think it's cute...i do love my cute stamps...it's a perfect size for ATC's too so thought i'd have another go at one...used my Promarkers, stickles and Glossy Accents, Heart charm from Ebay.

I mentioned previously about some candy to celebrate my 10,000th hit, well i hav'nt forgotten but i'm hanging on for all the new goodies to come out ;0 so watch this space xx

I made this for my Neice, every year i usually buy her a Christmas tree ornament but this year i thought she'd like something handmade.

I googled for a star template, covered the chipboard with Pinkpetticoat paper, the image is a download from All that Scraps, sentiment is from a panduro set, and tied various ribbon on a book ring.

Hi folks, i'd spotted these stamps over on Papercraft Planet a few weeks ago and on clare's blog, have a peek at her blog she's a DT member for Pink Poison and her cards are gorgeous ! Anyway i had to have one and Anya arrived last week but this morning's the first chance i've had to have a play.

I embossed with Stampendous Disco Black and coloured her with Promarkers....papers are Basic Grey Ambrosia....Sentiment is hero Arts

It's a very simple card...she's quite a large stamp...i'd highly recommend Pink Poison for good customer service...she took a week to arrive, so not bad considering christmas post and being an international delivery...and the quality is fab, she stamps beautifully.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 39

Hi Everyone, well we've just about got rid of the snow we had yesterday but it's been a gradual thaw all day, so glad its warmer !!

This is another of Janets new designs over at Pink Gem Designs the adorable Mimi and Pig,I made this for this weeks Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is 'Hearts'. i printed the heart paper from the Pinkpetticoat 'Cupcake' cd, Sentiment stamp is Hero Arts..another bargain at 50p !! and the ribbon from my stash...a nice and easy design. I coloured again with Prismas and decided to decoupage the image.

T'was the night before Christmas.........

Well not quite i know, it looked so Christmassy outdoors today with the snowfall we had here in Yorkshire though ! There's still some left even though the snow turned to rain later...boy has it been slippy ! My legs are aching from taking tense steps and i've had a few close shaves with the pavement and nearly hit the floor in Morrisons yesterday ! OMG i was so embarassed,lol,.Anyway whoever ordered the snow it was three weeks early !! would'nt it be lovely to have a white Christmas for a change ?

Ok so back to my card for today, i found this stamp at my local community centre where i run my craft club on Monday night, it was in a little box along with a sentiment stamp,a tiny matching silouette of a trio of mice which will look nice stamped inside the card i think, some clear stamp blocks, clear embossing powder and some inks...all for a FIVER !! so of course i had to have it, what a bargain and all for a good cause.

So i'm not sure of the make of this stamp...Papers are K&co Peppermint Twist...the scalloped edges are created with 'just the edge' cardstock strips by Bazzil and i added Kelly Panacci stickers to add detail....the ribbon is from my stash and i added another sticker from the same set with a brad.I used my H2o's to colour the mouse...was feeling brave as he's so little..i'm dont get on with watercolouring that well..but thought i'd try.

I've noticed that i'm nearly at the 10'000 hit mark....thank you everyone...so i'm going to be putting some candy together for over Christmas ...so watch this space !!

A get well card for my matey

My Matey Tara has'nt been too well lately so i thought i'd make a card for her....it did turn out a little dark for a Get Well card..The image is Hanglar&Stanglar..BasicGrey papers...Diecut swirls...heart buttons and gems...and coloured with Promarkers...Hope you're feeling a little better Tara.
