Colour Create Challenge ...Lilac and Blue

Morning everyone, this weeks challenge at Colour Create is Lilac and Blue with the optional extra of Swirls and ribbonsI was quite surprised though i like Lilac i dont have many papers in this colour so had to dig deep into my hoard of paper The image is from a new Stampivity collection...i think there's 4 images and 3 sentiments in this set for just £8.99, all have a retro/sixties vibe, this one was my favourite, really pretty...paper i'm not sure what it is..flower, swirl and ribbon i recieved ages ago from Sarita..thanks Sarita :) Coloured the image with my AquaPromarkersAs always the DT have made gorgeous creations to inspire..hope you'll join us...enjoy your day xx

CCSR Colour challenge..Pink And Black

Puppy Love

Morning folks, hope you're all well and looking forward to the weekend :) I've been busy this week with my spring clean,clearing out the clutter is so theraputic ! And as they say one mans rubbish is another mans treasure...if you havn't tried Freecycle check it out...it's GREAT for recycling clutter, lol.

So here's a card i made the other day using 'Puppy Love' an adorable Sarah Kay stamp available at Dies To Die For,coloured with Promarkers and Whispers, papers are Pinkpetticoat, sentiment is Hero Arts and i used my Martha Stewart Doily punch, these are now back in stock at DTDF.

Party Cow !!

Hi everyone, Tracy at Dies to Die For has been busy restocking some favourites to her store and adding some new goodies too including this fun 'Party Cow' by High Hopes. Have to say High Hopes stamps are fab quality and stamp beautifully :) Papers are Doodlebug and HOTP Christmas plaid and just a little checked ribbon from my stash...image is colored with Promarkers and Whispers for more subtle shading. I did debate whether to add a sentiment, it's a good size image so can stand alone but i was thinking of "I'm in the moooooood for dancing" , lol, see it's always a song title !

Tracy also has the gorgeous Martha Stewart punches back in stock today :)xx

Easter Magnolia

Been having a play with the Easter Magnolias...this one has to be one of my favourites...so sweet, i used a combination of Promarkers and Prismas to colour the image, Papers are Doodlebug, sentiment is Pinkpetticoat and added some Prima flowers..I cant believe how quickly this year is going, nearly Easter, I do love spring...everything coming to life again after the cold grey days of winter..and the lighter nights at last !!

A little update on the test i had done for the Anthony Nolan Trust, unfortunately i wasn't a match :(..i got a letter last week...but on a positive note they now have my tissue type so i guess if i was to hear from them again it would be more of a certainty for me to be a match for someone...ah well, i hope i can help in the future.

Just like to add a thank you to Ruby and Laura for both giving me awards recently and apologies for not posting them...promise i will later..lifes been hectic lately, but i do appreciate them...thank you xx

Colour Create Challenge 8

Morning everyone..this weeks challenge at Colour Create is Navy, Lime and turqoise, with the added extra of making your own background !!Now i'm not sure making my own background is my 'thing' and apologies for the poor photo, i was going to load a clearer one but my camera battery has just gone kapput :(

I used a stamp from the new Prima collection 'Build a swirl' with a turqoise palette ink pad..added Papermania gems and a rub on sentiment..coloured the butterflies with Brushmarkers in lime and navy..

Hope you all have a lovely Mothers day, i'm just getting ready to visit my Mum, though i know she'll make a fuss cos i'm streaming with a nasty cold, lol..it'll be an 'air' kiss from me today, lol. Mothers day is always a bit of a 'non' event for me, be lucky if Josh has remembered, typical boy..ah well. i love him to pieces anyway...xx

Willow Sketchie

Morning Everyone, it's a new challenge over at Willow Sketchie and this week it's Sally Ann's turn to kick start your creativity with this sketch..the extra part to the challenge is to add embossing to your cardSharon's been busy designing new downloads and i LOVE Petuna Kitty which you can find here....
I decided to use the coloured Petuna, My Minds Eye papers, Papermania flowers and Brads and the sentiment is from Clare Curds Signature Range sentiment stamps.

CCSR 'Limited Supplies' Challenge

Hello everyone, here's my DT card for this weeks challenge at CCSR 'Limited Supplies'. Did get my head in a tangle trying come up with something using so little but then thought what the heck...just keep it simple...it's okay to do that :)

I used the Stampin Chic party stamp collection and the Sentiment is from the sentiment collection...bit obvious that one , lol. Paper is from 'The Big One' and to finish the ribbon is by Doodlebug. Practised my watercolouring again with Whispers Brushmarkers...and there you have it :)

Spring Milly

Morning everyone..here's a card i made using the lovely Spring Milly available at Pink Gem Designs..
Had another go at paper piecing.. I used some delicious new papers from My Minds Eye..Tiny Dancer 'Plie' Dancing Daisies and Pirouette Twirling circles, made my own paper flowers..distressed them and added BG brads..ribbon and lace from stash..xx

Spring Clean...

You cant beat a bright sunny day to get you in the mood for a spring clean...a chance to spot those cobwebs that have been hiding in the dark winter days..but thought i'd have five minutes on here to update my blog with some projects i made last week..if you're like me 5 minutes turns into an hours blog hopping, lol. I enjoy making a scrap page now and then though i dont have a lot of spare time to do them...this is my cat Smokey..he's such a handsome boy :) I used the new Papermania scalloped pages and Basic Grey Euphoria papers and chipboard elements..i find it really hard to come up with an original title..it's usually a song that pops into my head..lol.This card is made with the same BG collection...i've made quite a few cards with this Scalloped design but this time turned it on it's side...

A few weeks ago i showed you some of my friends cards..well she's taken the plunge and started her own blog...if you have time to pop by and say hello to Jess i know she'd be thrilled :)

Colour Create Challenge # 7 Red and Green

Morning everyone..it's time for a new challenge at Colour Create and this week the colours are Red and Green. Now they say Red and Green should never be seen but i think when you see the wonderful cards the DT have created....well judge for yourself...tons of inspiration. The optional extra this week is 'WINGS'For my card i used a Papermania scalloped card blank....LOVE these..image is a freebie that Liz at Pinkpetticoat gave away a few weeks ago..paper is from a Pinkpetticoat cd..Bazzail dotty card stock..ribbon and button from stash.

Cards for a cause....competition..

Hi Everyone, just a quick post to let you know about a competition thats running over at the Diestodiefor blog. Creativity Commision

Morning Everyone...thought i'd share with you the work i did for Docrafts Creativity magazine..these are the projects i worked on over Christmas...it was for the designer challenge feature...had lots of fun with this kit, Papermania doggie themed papers and embellishments

Multi Tasking...well i'm trying....

Remembered whilst in the middle of making more cards tonight that i'd promised to share my other inky experience with you...so here it is.. Another little wall hanging...i had so much fun making this and again my thanks to Janet for letting me play with her stamps and inks and for her guidance with this. I dont know all the details of what i used except that the stamps are Tim Holtz and i created the coloured background with Distress Inks..buttons are from my stash and the cord is from my local fent shop.

I'd also like to thank Tracy at Dies to die for for picking me to be on her Guest DT, i'm really looking forward to what lies ahead...so excited! and congrats to all the other peeps that were chosen too :)

Ok better get back to my multi tasking, have 2 more cards to do, have a ton of other jobs to do before i can have a nice soak in the bath then bed.....xx

A Blissful day...

I really wish i could spend more of my time like i did today...with a great bunch of ladies having a fabulously creative time !! I got the chance to finish a project that Michelle put together for my craft club last month..i'd been dying to finish it so i could pop it on here, if you havn't stumbled across Michelles blog then it's a must, she's such a talented lady, her attention to detail and eye for colour is fantastic and it's her BIRTHDAY today...Happy Birthday Michelle :) Here's the finished card !The little house are by Paper Artsy..Bricks and Morter and i had a go at brayering for the first time to create the hills with Adirondack ink..think the colour is Lettuce ?This is something so different for me and i have to confess i'm a closet Altered Art/Tim Holtz/Paper Artsy fan ! I really admire this style of crafting but it really dosnt come naturally to me. To me it's so random and really stretches your creativity but i love it ! AND WANT TO DO MORE :) So my thanks to everyone at the group, especially Michelle for helping me to finish this, you have to check out this on her blog.. and to Janet who so generously let me loose with her stamps and inks... her work is amazing..i LOVE the purple and orange tag she's made as well as all the other fab creations on her blog !.......shall share what i made with Janets stamps tomorrow ;) What a blissful day and cant wait till next time....more inky fingers !!

CCSR Paper Piecing Challenge

Morning everyone, here's my card for our 'Technique' challenge over at CCSR which this week is Paper piecing...I love this technique, it takes the work out of trying to match your colouring medium,and i think really pulls a card together.. I used the Stampin Chic Party stamps and the sentiment set, both are fab stamp sets and wont break the bank at £5.99 each, you can view them here..used The Big One paper pack and Whispers Brushmarkers to colour the image..added scalloped strips to finish. Morning everyone, this weeks challenge at Colour create is Orange, Yellow and Green and to create something thats not a card ! Been having a play..

I do enjoy making ATC's and the last couple of days i've made a few, one for this months P.I.F swap on Docrafts, the theme is travel, and another i made just for fun with a fabulous new download by Chris (Sketching Stamper), i just adore this image Chris and it's a perfect size for an ATC ! I simply coloured her with my trusty Promarkers and made a few flowers 3D, the sentiment is from the Clare Curd Signature Range and added stckles and Glossy Accents to finish. Here's my Travel Atc, have to thank Tara for the inspiration and the image :)I used a Doodlebug clear set of stamps to create the flowers, doodled the stems with a white gel pen and hand wrote the sentiment, also added stickles and glossy accents.

Before i go just wanted to share this photo i took earlier today...this is Baby, we named her this because as soon as you pick her up this is the position she rolls into, lol. So sad because now all the kittens have gone, we decided to let the Cats Protection League rehome them all because they can thoroughly vet everyone that comes to them wanting to offer a home, there's no way we could do that ourselves, well not to the extent that they do. So there were lots of photos and cuddles this afternoon....:( Have a lovely weekend everyone xxx

Willow Sketchie 5/3/09

Morning everyone, well the sun is shining with a beautiful clear blue sky here in Yorkshire, makes you feel like spring is just around the corner...yay !Today is Willow Sketchie Challenge time and this week it's my turn to come up with a Sketch for you :)The extra twist is to go dotty with dots and stripes ! Guest DT call at Diestodiefor

How are you all today...as you can see i've been messing with my blog again :), Deb's has made some fabulous backgrounds and headers, if you click on the link on my righthand sidebar it will take you straight there..thank you Debs x

I noticed Tracey at Diestodiefor is looking for a Guest Designer so i thought i'd try my luck with this little creation..i cant remember the last time i made something to keep all for myself, i bought the 7Gypsies rubberband book last week from The Stampman,they have 20% off at the mo and delivery is free over £10, and had in mind to make a 'Wish' book to write down all the lovely goodies/stamps that i see on my travels in Blogland and when browsing through Mags...i've a terrible memory !

I painted the book with an Adirondack paint dabber..Juniper, then covered in BasicGrey 'Fruitcake' paper, added Doodlebug rub ons and Hearts, Angel Anya stamp which i paper pieced...Tracey stocks The Greetings Farm stamps now :)...i've not quite finished the book, still have the back of it to complete, but the front is pretty much finished i think... :)

I'd like to thank Caryn, Michelle and Clare for thinking of me with these awards...these ladies are so talented, if you haven't come across their blogs yet please do visit, they are a great source of inspiration !
and i'm truely honoured to recieve them ...thank you :)Shall have a think about who to pass them on to.....

Well i've had a busy day today, i took Chester to the vets this morning to be neutered...no more babies for her now :( and poor love is struggling with the horrible plastic funnel around her head...that has to stay for 10 days until she has her stitches removed. The kittens are driving me bonkers now...as cute as they are i'm looking forward to returning to normality...they are into EVERYTHING...so naughty !

I also had my blood taken this morning for more tests for the Anthony Nolan trust and it was posted out to them today so should'nt be too long before i hear whether i can go any further towards helping someone..as promised i'll keep you posted :)

Right off to put my feet up now and watch the box for a while....byeeee xx
